SPAM OR PHISHING EMAILS

If you get an email that appears to be bogus.  You will be OK as long as you do not click on any links or open any attachments.  

Your organization has the Report Message add-on in Outlook which can be used to report these messages to Microsoft.  This helps improve their service.  Please submit suspicious messages through this add-on:

Also, you can follow these steps to block a sender manually:

• Select the suspicious email
• Right-click...choose Junk from the drop menu
• Click Block Sender

Or,

• Select the suspicious email
• Select Home (tab)
• Click Junk (on the ribbon)
• Click Block Sender.

[Outlook marks it and relocates it immediately.  Use "Block Sender" frequently to automatically add the senders to Junk Email folder.]

Note: it is no longer necessary to report SPAM/PHISH emails to Upic.  Following the steps above is now the recommended process to address these SPAM/PHISH emails.

With that being said, asking to validate if an email is SPAM or PHISH, is always okay.
