Scenario: We’re trying to purge SSN from our system. Is there a way to run a DMO for just individual accounts that do have a SSN? Is there a wildcard char I can put in the SSN field when selecting criteria?
Currently there is no wildcard character to pull all accounts that have the SSN field.
Upic Solutions can write a sql statement that will pull anyone that has SSN to either review or purge from the system. This would be requested via a answer center ticket asking for the purging of SSN's for the United Way's database.
Security should be set on and SSN's should be protected by a select group of people if they are currently present on accounts. There are two areas in Andar Security to secure the SSN's. The first is a special authority called "Account Search List" that only allows the people assigned here to have the SSN on the account search screen. The second area is in Account Level Security and this should be set for both secure and unsecure accounts. The Everyone Group should have the option for SSN with no check boxes in View, Update, Add or Delete. This will prevent any user from viewing the informatiaon on the Bio Screen.
This same level of security will prevent the user from datamining out the information as well.
Upic Solutions would recommend that the United Way review their security settings and annually review that there are not any inadvertant SSN's on Individual accounts. The United Way may want to review employee ID's to verify that the SSN was not stored in this field as well.
